The youngest students sing for their families.
The sixth-graders perform a skit.
Mother-child pairs compete in a milk-drinking contest.
Life students sing in English and Spanish.
Fifth-grade students present an acrostic poem.

Mother's Day flowers are for sale outside of Chalo's.
These ants work together to move a cheese ring.
Plums, tomatoes, green beans, peaches, and carrots are ready to be washed.
Even though we had dinner at home, we're heading out for some pupusas.
Saturday morning at the market
It's time for peaches and plums.
Within 36 hours of our return, I am covered in new zancudo bites.

Ava tries out a guitar at the music store.

Amanda finds a guitar that feels just her size.
Ava checks the price on a blue acoustic guitar...

and walks out with it on her back.
