May 14-15, 2013: Dinner and Views

On May 14, we go to the Hurtados' house for a Cuban-Mexican dinner.

Ava and Manuel play their new guitars.

We feast on rice, beans, ropa vieja, and enchiladas with toppings.

Amanda loves holding Cat-o.

Andrés wrestles Mateo.

Evelyn listens while Manuel plays guitar and Ava sings.

Evelyn and I toast with Quetzalteca.

Manny sits patiently while Amanda styles his hair.

Candelaria and Gregorio say goodbye to maestro William.

William is heading to Norway on a scholarship to study nutrition.

Gladis, my Spanish teacher this week, takes me to her town of San Jorge to see the gorgeous views.
Panajachel looks small from here.
