April 15-16, 2013

Today's market purchases: melon, papaya, avocados, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, and tomatillos

Fresh veggies with hummus and mango/watermelon/pineapple smoothies for dinner (plus tortillas, which the girls are out buying)
Electrical wiring is always interesting.

A surprise sighting on the street this morning--Rosalie and Clayton, whom we met while staying at Pasajcap last year

Basket of Angry Birds

Rosalie and Clayton have come from San Marcos to do some shopping.

Baby bananas at the Spanish school

Crowds of people watch the annual sports competitions between local schools.

Ava enjoys an Elote Loco (steamed corn on a stick with mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and cheese).

PCI's girls' basketball team is number one!  Or maybe number two, but close.

A PCI student's mother gave me a wonderful surprise gift of herbs and lettuces from her garden.

This sweet dog is named Sofia.  I thought she was a starving street dog, so I bought her some meat (well, hot dogs) the other day.  Then I found out that she belongs to one of the neighbors, and she is so skinny because she is dying of cancer.  She just seems to want a few treats now and then, so who am I to say no to that face?
